honda accord coupe 2011
For 2011, the Honda Accord receives the first significant updates for its current-generation platform. Most notably, fuel economy is up thanks to revised aerodynamics plus tweaks to the engines and transmissions. The SE trim level has been added and there are new optional features as well, including an iPod/USB interface, a rearview camera, driver memory functions and shift paddles. The exterior has been given a mild refresh, while the interior's climate-control buttons have bee rearranged for compatibility with the optional navigation system.
What midsize sedan should I buy?" The answer to this question has long been "Honda Accord." It's the instinctive response, like being asked your birthday or your dog's name. The Accord has been a top choice in the segment so consistently that recommending one has always been easy. Times are changing, however. With impressive new competitors, the 2011 Honda Accord now has more serious rivals to compete against.
The current-generation Accord (it debuted in 2008) is the biggest yet, offering the most accommodating interior in its class. Yet this super-sizing of the Accord also comes with a downside, because it no longer feels like the "right-size" choice in the family sedan class. While its steering remains responsive and tactile, the Accord has a tendency to feel super-sized when driven around corners. Its acceleration is also a bit underwhelming, with a five-speed automatic transmission doing duty here when most competing models now offer snappier six-speeds.
There is one bright spot for 2011, because the Accord's engines choices are now more frugal. Thanks to aerodynamic tweaks, engine friction reductions and revised transmission gearing, the four-cylinder Accord now has an EPA rating of 23 city/34 highway, a rise of about 2 mpg that takes the Accord to the top of the fuel economy chart for family sedans. The V6 is also a bit more efficient this year, too.
Unfortunately, the Accord's interior hasn't changed much for 2011. Compared to newer competitors like the Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima, the Accord's cabin looks and feels a bit down-market. The plastics aren't as nice and the look is rather drab -- especially if you opt for gray. Honda has made some slight changes to the convoluted climate controls found on navigation-equipped models this year, but the Accord's center stack continues to be plagued by far too many buttons.
Nevertheless, it's important to note that the 2011 Honda Accord remains a solid pick among family sedans. It's spacious, fuel-efficient and reliable and should hold its value well. The Accord also comes in a sporty coupe body style, something that few other automakers offer in their midsize models. So we still recommend the Accord. But choices like the Fusion, Optima, Sonata, Mazda 6 and even the Suzuki Kizashi now outpace the Accord in many areas, so the answer to "What midsize sedan should I buy?" is now more muddled than it used to be.
2011 Honda Accord is available as a midsize sedan and coupe. The sedan comes in LX, LX-P, SE, EX and EX-L trim levels, while the coupe comes in LX-S, EX and EX-L trims.
The base LX trim comes equipped with 16-inch steel wheels, keyless entry, full power accessories, air-conditioning, cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable manual driver seat and a six-speaker sound system with CD player and an auxiliary audio jack. The LX-P trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels and an eight-way power driver seat. The SE adds leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-adjustable driver lumbar and heated front seats. The EX adds or supplants LX-P equipment with 17-inch alloys, a more powerful four-cylinder engine, a sunroof, heated mirrors, power-adjustable driver lumbar, upgraded interior trim, a six-CD changer and a USB audio jack.
The EX-L adds automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth, a seven-speaker upgraded sound system, satellite radio and the option of a navigation system with voice control and a rearview camera. A V6-equipped EX-L also gains driver seat memory settings and a four-way power passenger seat.
The coupe's LX-S trim is equipped similarly to the LX sedan, but gets 17-inch wheels and a six-disc CD changer. The EX coupe does not include the power-adjustable driver lumbar, but does get the EX-L sedan's upgraded stereo without satellite radio. Both lumbar and satellite radio are added to the EX-L. Opting for the EX-L with a V6 also adds 18-inch wheels.

honda prelude
Introduced in 1979, the Honda Prelude was the company’s first attempt at building an exciting car that still held true to the core Honda values of intelligent design and reliability. Over the next two decades, the two-door sport coupe would become the primary performance car in the Honda lineup. Although it was outfitted with relatively powerful engines in later generations, the Prelude was not a muscle car. It was built around handling and drivability, while providing enough power to remain competitive.
The Honda Prelude is a sports car that came into the market in 1978 and was manufactured by the Japanese car manufacturer, Honda. The Honda Prelude exited the market in early 2001 when the Honda company stopped its production. The Honda Prelude came into the market as a replacement for the Honda S800 which was also a sports car that was front engined and operated on the rear wheel drive system. The Honda Prelude which was a two door coupe survived five generations and its production was later stopped as a result of the Honda company releasing the fifth generation Honda Integra which is also known as the Acura RSX in North America in the year 2001. Another factor that led the Honda company to stop the production of the Honda Prelude is the release of the Honda S200 in early 1999 which caused the Honda Prelude to loose its popularity and also the decrease in sales for that particular model
If you are looking to buy a model from any generation of the Honda Prelude you should expect to find only used cars because of the fact that the Honda company ceased to produce the Honda Prelude in early 2001 and so the last Honda Prelude cars were produced in 2001. Due to this fact, you will find only used cars out there in the market. It is very possible for you to find a Honda Prelude that is still in good condition. If you are a sports car lover and you are desperate to have your hands on a Honda Prelude, then you have no reason to worry because there are so many methods that you can use to find that car.
The first thing you should do is contact the manufacturing company and find out if they happen to have a used Honda Prelude on sale. If they do you will have to go there and check out the car. You do not have to worry about the condition of the car because there are many technicians who are capable of restoring the car to its original state. The Honda Prelude has the old school sports car look and some people prefer that look to the modern look. You can also use the Internet which is a very powerful tool to find a Honda Prelude car that is on sale. It will be to your advantage to use the Internet because you will be able to check out several cars and also compare the prices of the vehicles so as to choose wisely and have the chance to save some few dollars. You might get lucky and find a Honda Prelude that is in good condition and you will just have to change a few things to suit your needs and start driving it. The Honda Prelude for sale was a big success when it was first released in 1978 and the only competition it faced was from the Toyota Celica sports car from the Toyota car manufacturing company which was also a big hit in those years.
honda
The unveiling of the Honda FC Sport in the L.A. Auto Show provides a glimpse of the future of the highways without carbon emissions. The concept car from the Japanese manufacturer uses the technology of the FCX Clarity Sedan.
The performance of the Honda FC Sport aims to please car enthusiasts through a world far from petroleum. According to manufacturers, it is called a sports car because it is designed to run like one in the near hydrogen auto world of the future. The V Flow fuel cell technology of Honda is being maximized by coupling it with a very lightweight sports car that has excellent aerodynamics, powerful engine, and no emissions at all.
The Honda FC Sport is engineered to be very efficient on the road. The rear seats house the fuel cell stack while the battery pack is located ideally in the low middle portion of the car. The electric motor is positioned slightly in front of the rear axle. Fuel storage tanks are also built above the rear axle.
The super car look of the Honda FC is quite deceiving because unlike the usual sporty cars, this hydrogen powered car can accommodate three passengers.
The driver is positioned in a racing like manner in the center. The cockpit is easily accessed with the canopies designed to open upwards from the back portion. Two passenger seats are available slightly behind the left and right side of the driver’s seat.
The research and development division spearheaded by the Advanced Design Studio of Honda came up with the design for the FC Sports.
honda civic 2011
The 2011 Honda Civic is returning to the market basically unchanged from the 2010 model. However, there were no significant changes the needed to be made because the Honda Civic is considered the one car that other manufacturers are trying to compete with since it offers such good engineering and reliability for consumers.
The styling of the 2011 Honda Civic keeps with the artsy design that Honda has implemented on past Civic models, they kept with the nose and tail end changes that they implemented on new Civics starting in 2009. The Civic also sports a severely raked-back windshield which helps give the Honda Civic more aerodynamics. What is so notable about the styling of the Civic is that it has many of those classy touches that Honda uses on its more upscale brand Acura, meaning that you are getting a great deal on a car that is well worth the price.
The mechanics of the 2011 Honda Civic keeps with what earlier models have used, except there are less 2011 Honda Civics that will have a manual transmission. The models DX, LX, and the upscale EX lines will offer the typical 1.8 liter engine with 140 horsepower and will offer a 128 pound of torque per foot. The Honda Civil EX-L sedans, EX sedans and EX-L coupe are only going to be available in automatic transmissions, which are a change from the previous model year. The sportier 2011 Honda Civics, the Si coupe and sedan will have 2.0 liter engines, slightly bigger than other models that will offer 197 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. Plus, they had the exclusive six speed manual transmission that is able to give drivers to get the full race car feel with half the price of other cars that are designed for this specific reason.
The 2011 Honda Civic also offers the Hybrid option that many people will once again take advantage of because of the benefits to the environment as well as their wallet. The hybrid will come as a sedan only that has a 1.3 liter gas engine accompanied by an electric motor. The electric motor will be able to take you short distances, however, is more or less there to help the main gas engine to save more gas.
What changes can people expect with the price of Honda for the new 2011 models? The price difference is not much really, a low $150 will be the difference between a 2010 Honda Civic and a 2011 Honda Civic. However, the cost of the 2011 Honda Civic will really depend on the dealer and the consumer's negotiation skills in the end.
What is most notable about the changes to the 2011 Honda Civic models is that the newer models have lost some fuel mileage when compared to the 2010 Honda Civics. It is estimated that the 2011 Honda Civic will get around 40 city miles per gallon, while getting 43 interstate miles per gallon. Te 2010 models offer 40 miles per gallon when traveling in city traffic, while the interstate miles per gallon were around 45.
Every 2011 Civic will come equipped with anti-lock brakes, a tilt steering wheel, adjustable drivers seat and power windows. However, to get those features such as heated and/or leather seats, alloy wheels, ability to have navigation on board and other extras will have to step up from the base model 2011 Civic. All of the extras will cost the consumer. In fact, having an on board navigation system can set the person back an additional two thousand dollars.
In addition, a buyer can be certain that they are getting top of the line when it comes to comfort, as all models of the 2011 Honda Civic line still have the independent suspension that promises that the car handles and rides as well as any luxury vehicle out there on the market and even the hardest drivers will appreciate the handling of the Civic.
All in all, Honda Civic has kept with what people expect from the Civic with the 2011 models. They are priced reasonably and competitive with other cars that are in the same category, and give buyers the options to have all those extras that sets the Civic apart from the other manufacturers out there and making it what once again one of the best smaller car on the market.

honda s2000
A wonderful sports car manufactured by Honda was S2000 that really shows what can result when a car manufacturer company makes the ultimate use of innovation.
Unfortunately, the production of S2000 halted in 2009 but car fans are keenly waiting for the release of S3000 or Mk2.
The S2000 2.0 NASP engine has been exactly tuned to practical perfection by Honda which makes this one of the most efficient production engines in the market. It is balanced nicely and the heads are very well setup that is a challenge of a professional gas flower for making a considerable improvement to the head.
The valves can possibly be a weak point for the engine which shows up when the service history of the engine has not been kept updated. Besides this, the S2000 is strong and reliable while also having an important fun element of an open sports car.
Regarding tuning tips on the S2000:
Only one choice of engine was available and as it was a very good one, there can not be any argument on it. It is a real challenge to improve the S2000.
Because of its nature of high revving, the car is mostly criticized of having a bit low down torque.
For addressing this, a high octane fuel can be used. Stronger valves can be fitted and the cam profile and timing can be altered a little make the torque curve flat. Usually this will be at the cost of the top end power but will make the car more accessible to VTEC drivers.
For maximizing the power peak of S2000, the head has to be ported and polished and a 3 angle valve job has to be done. This should be done by an expert with full flow testing and diagnostic equipment. Increasing the engine’s compression will additionally maximize the power gains.
The blueprinting and balancing of the engine will help in fully exploiting its top end power and will increase the rev limit beyond the foolishly high standard limits.
Other modifications than can be considered for S2000 engine are air intake, fast road cams and sports exhaust which includes a set of high flow headers on a 4 to 1 pipe rather than a 4 to 2 to 1. Then, some port matching can be applied.
The power crazy fans always have the option of installing a turbo or supercharger but compression ratio of the engine has to be dramatically reduced to make this work better. Another option that can be considered is adding nitrous injection kits that can alone add 50bhp additional power to the engine.
Other modifications:
Brake upgrades are ideal and a lot of S2000 big brake conversion kits have been seen. Installing larger allows will facilitate in fitting a bigger brake disc but low profile tires would have to be used for keeping the same rolling diameter on the car.
Handling mods are also ideal to consider for the S2000, it is recommended to get a fully adjustable suspension kits so this can be set up to suit the driving style. Some prefer the tail happy nature of the car but it can be tamed to an extent with the right kind of suspension setup.

bmw x4
Yes, another X model from BMW is in the works, this time the BMW X4. It certainly seems like BMW is going after the crossover market, trying to compete with the models launched by BMW and Audi.
Based on the X3 softroader, the BMW X4 will have four doors but will come with a coupe styled roofline. The X4 is suppose to fit right in between the X3 and X5, but having a size closer to the 330i touring.
Even though the X3 has never been lived up to the BMW expectations, the german manufacture is still trying to force the market and test its customer’s loyalty with this new BMW X4, which specialists, including myself, don’t believe that it will be a “hit”. The X4 is rumored to be ready for launch in 2010.
Take a look at the pictures that Christa Lehmann with Hidden Image captured and let me know what you think.

bmw x3
The BMW X3 is a desirable car for many of us, having four-wheel drive, partial off-road ability, whilst still being as sporty to drive as a BMW saloon. This vehicle, which is categorised by the Bavarian manufacturer as a SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), is made all the more desirable after a visit to the workshop of the tuning specialist LUMMA from Winterlingen. The X3 is given an even sportier look and more power by fitting various body-styling elements, lowering the suspension, fitting a set of aluminium wheels and tuning the engine.
By fitting the D-Box, LUMMA breathes an additional 41 horsepower into the series-produced 150 kW / 204 bhp 3 litre six cylinder straight engine, giving it a total of 180 kW / 245 bhp. This diesel then has a powerful torque of 492 Nm – an extra 82 Nm. This power makeover costs € 750.
LUMMA has changed just about everything in terms of the external appearance. The front end is dominated by a front spoiler bumper for € 949. This generates downforce, thus giving the X3 better wheel grip. Larger air inlets ensure adequate cooling. Incidentally, the original fog lamps can still be used. A set of headlight lenses (exempt from TÜV approval) for vehicles with or without Xenon headlights is available from LUMMA for the price of € 79.
The sides of the X3 are adorned by a set of side sills including wheel arch extensions for € 950. The superb racing look at the rear end is produced by an apron with a diffuser, of which a version is shortly to be launched also for use with a tow coupling for the price of € 990. LUMMA has equipped the boot lid with an attachment for € 279, which simply clips on. Working its way up to the top of the rear end, LUMMA finishes off with a boot lid spoiler for € 349, which has a stabilising effect at high speeds.
For vehicles, apart from those with self-levelling suspension, LUMMA provides an H&R suspension lowering kit for € 349, which brings the X3 45 mm closer to the road at the front and rear. Stylish LUMMA/ATP wheels round off the external appearance of this SAV. The price for the complete set of wheels is € 5,896. LUMMA fits these chunky wheels in their 10 x 22 inch design with 285/30 tyres from Kumho.
Four pipes, each with a 76 mm diameter, allow the power of this X3 3.0d CLR X to be heard, providing the acoustic proof of the potency of this LUMMA-tuned BMW. They form part of a complete stainless steel exhaust system exempt from TÜV approval (with EEC type approval) for € 1,190.
LUMMA embellishes the entrance area with a four-piece set of stainless steel sill pad covers for € 189. LUMMA also lends the interior of the X3 a racing car feel by providing a set of aluminium pedals for € 159.

LUMMA also lends the interior of the X3 a racing car feel by providing a set of aluminium pedals for € 159.
bmw x2
There is a rumor going around for some time now regarding a brand new BMW model being launched in the near future: The BMW X2, which may become part of the BMW line up from 2011. The BMW X2 or SAR, which stands for Sports Activity Runabout, as it was codenamed, is looked at as BMW X6’s little brother or a baby BMW.
As for BMW X2’s design, it will be a two-door model with lines that resemble a coupe’s. The BMW X2 will have the same engine as the BMW X1 and probably similar technologies, including the xDrive. While Carmagazine UK says that the BMW X2 hasn’t been given a green light yet, as the plans are still being drawn, a test mule has been spotted in Munich, so at the time we are still in therumor stage and we don’t know if BMW will continue with this.bmwcoop
